Youn Tank Chung passed away on February 27, 2020, surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 plus years, Ruby Chung. He was survived by Son Chris Chung and wife, Milly Mui, of New York City, Son, Ken Chung and wife, Thuy Tran, and their child, Lily Chung, of Natick, MA, Daughter Jo-Ann Chung and husband, Adam Bartlett, of Anchorage, AK and Son Joe Chung and wife, Rachel Silver, of Belmont, and Siblings, Liz Wing of Newton, MA, and Tom Jung, of California and Connecticut. He was born in Boston Chinatown in 1924. He was 95 years old. "Harry," as he was known, served in the U.S. Army as a young man, married Ruby Wong in 1959, bought a house in Belmont in 1968, and raised four children in Belmont. Harry was well known at Airline Mobile Home park for showing movies on Saturday nights in the summer for the kids, including Laurel and Hardy and the Three Stooges. He loved opera, classical music, and reading about Chinese history. In his later years, he enjoyed living in Cambridge and going to the senior center with our mother, Ruby. After outliving two wives, Harry continued to live on his own in Cambridge where he enjoyed sitting by the window in the sun, listening to music on his headphones, riding his scooter to the Senior Center, eating out at his favorite Chinese restaurant. Visiting hours will be held in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road Belmont on Friday March 6 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday March 7 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Highland Meadow Cemetery, Belmont. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Cambridge Council on Aging c/o Susan Pacheco 806 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02139.
