William P. Lane

William P. Lane - Of Cambridge, died peacefully on June 19, 2021 at the age of 99, in his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Mary K. (O’Connor). Loving father of William F. and his wife Jayne of Duxbury, John C. and his wife Bernadette of Somerville, Mary P. and Anne Marie both of Cambridge, Kathleen B. Songer and her husband Joseph of Maryland, and the late Paul J. and Judith M. Grandfather of Courtney E. Alexander (Michael), William M.(Meghan), John C. (Tracy), Katherine E., and Patrick D. Lane, and Jack V., Mary Kate, and Michael J. Songer. Great-grandfather of Colin, Caroline, and Elizabeth Alexander, Liam and Penelope Lane, and Lucy and Liam Lane. Brother of Francis Lane of Hull and the late Mary Beatty, and John Lane. Also survived by his sisters-in-law, Susan, Anne and Teresa, and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Later in life, beloved owner of his constant canine companions, Sugar Pie and Blaze. Visiting hours in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Rd. Belmont Friday 6-8pm. Funeral mass in St. Peter’s Church 100 Concord Ave. Cambridge Saturday at 10am.
