Thomas (Tom) J. Daley, Sr. died peacefully on February 6, 2024 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Beloved husband of the late Miriam A. for over 62 years. He is survived by his son Thomas J. Daley, Jr. of Lowell, his loving daughters Miriam Sullivan (David) of Arlington, Melissa Bassett of Winchester and son Kevin Daley of Arlington. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Devlin; Brian; Thomas, III; and Stephen, and great grandson Theodore. Brother to Virginia Sheppard and Barbara Daley of Tewksbury and the late William Daley. Tom dedicated most of his life to service specifically to the Disabled American Veterans, serving as the Department Adjutant for the Massachusetts branch where he made a significant impact on veterans’ affairs. A proud graduate of Somerville High School where he boasted 4 years of perfect attendance, Tom was a Korean War era veteran and had a love of all things sports, most importantly those sporting events featuring his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass in Saint Peter Church, 100 Concord Ave, Cambridge, on Saturday February 10th at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
