Thomas F. Cahill Sr.

Thomas F Cahill Sr. of Cambridge and Manomet, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2021. Throughout his courageous battle with multiple health issues, he maintained his good humor and infamous sarcasm.  Beloved husband of the late Joanie M. Cahill.  Survived by his three devoted and loving children; Thomas F. Cahill Jr., Asst. Chief at CFD and his wife Shannon of Cambridge, Julie M. Cahill Hollingsworth, ANP and her husband Ben of Bedford and Beth Cahill Halloran, CPD and her husband Timothy of Belmont. He also leaves his 8 adored grandchildren; Michael, Erin, and Julia Cahill, Jacob, Emma and Lyla Hollingsworth and Ryan and Molly Halloran.  Son of the late John and Julia Cahill.  Brother of Helen Cahill, O.P., Richard Cahill and brother in law of Louise Cahill, and the late Anne McGloin, John Cahill and Mary Cahill.  Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Rd. Belmont Tuesday, June 8 at 9am. Funeral mass in St. Peter’s Church 100 Concord Ave. Cambridge at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-7pm. Interment Cambridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please send donations in Tom and Joan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham, MA. 02452.  Tom was employed by the City of Cambridge and proudly retired as the Chief Fire Alarm Operator in 2000.
