Sylvia (Wilson) O'Donovan

Sylvia Wilson O'Donovan passed away on January 16.2025. She was predeceased by her husband John R. O'Donovan. She was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves her children, Susan (Martin) Conley, Cathy (Lou) Annunciata, John (Cindy), James (Tracey) and Michael (Kerry) O'Donovan. She leaves 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 

She was devoted to her husband Jack and supported him through his career as a colonel in the State Police and as Chief of the MBTA. She was active in the children's dance lessons, Cub Scouts, PTA , Kendal Kittens and Ice Hockey. Also active in her grandchildren's lives as well. 

She pursued her own careers as she got older.in sales for An Art and frame business, and was a Mary Kay representative. She was awarded the Pink Cadillac Award which was the epitome of success. She became an avid gardener, knitter and homemaker. She was a great entertainer and enjoyed cooking and baking and having family and friends gather at her beautifully decorated home. Her family , home and her dogs, Tighe and Chachi were her pride and joy. 

She will be remembered for her storytelling ability, which took us to many parts of her journey. and was the family's historian. In her later years she moved to Cape Cod. Went on many family vacations with her children and grandchildren. . 

As soul mates. we feel it was more than coincidence that she passed on the same date of the month, although different months 13 years apart from her husband. We hope she is now with him forever in peace.   Her light will continue to shine . She will be forever missed. 

There will be a graveside service Saturday Jan. 25th at 11:00 in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont.
