Our beloved Stylianos (“Steve”) Litsas, 86, of Arlington, MA and Vrilissia, Greece died peacefully on September 16, 2021 surrounded by his devoted wife of 49 years and his loving children. Born in Greece, he was the loving and loyal son of the late Pangiotis and Eleni Litsas and the dear brother of the late Georgia Litsas.
He was the beloved husband of Marguerite (Driscoll) Litsas, the loving father of Helen Litsas Bronner and her husband Eric, Georgia (Litsas) Dangel and her husband Brian and Joanna (Litsas) Harris and her husband Mark, and the cherished grandfather of Tristan Bronner and Lucas Steve Dangel. Steve was also the cherished cousin of Leonidas and Aspasia Kazaleos of Athens, Greece and the beloved uncle to many adoring nieces and nephews.
Steve served honorably as an officer with the Greek Merchant Marines before emigrating to the United States for his beloved wife where he devoted himself to his family, built a new career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and became a proud United States citizen. His proudest legacy was his adoring family.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont, MA from 5-7 p.m. A celebration mass will be held at St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester, MA on Wednesday morning, September 22, 2021 at 10:00. Burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required for all indoor services.
