Sheila M. (Powers) Finigan

Sheila M. (Powers) Finigan, age 85, a long-time resident of Belmont, passed away peacefully on January 2nd 2026. Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Finigan. Loving mother of Thomas L. Finigan and his wife Shana Fulton of Raleigh, NC and Matthew J. Finigan and his wife Amy of Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Proud grandmother of Lila Finigan, Nicholas Finigan, Samantha Finigan & Maxwell Finigan. Sister of Thomas Powers II and his wife Barbara. Cherished aunt and great aunt to many loving nieces & nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her infant son Joseph L. Finigan Jr. Sheila was a dedicated and active member of the St. Joseph’s Community in Belmont for many years. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 130 Common St, Belmont, on Friday, January 9th, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sheila, can be made to Catholic Charities of Boston 275 West Broadway Boston, MA 02127.
