Rita A (Delaney) Reagan

Rita Ann (Delaney) Reagan, age 98, of Woburn, passed away on November 25, 2022. Rita was born on January 9, 1924, in Cambridge to Charles Ambrose and Camille (Shea) Delaney. She is survived by Thomas C. Reagan and his wife, Joanna of Pepperell; Nancy C. Powers-Neuman and her husband Mark Neuman of Arlington; her daughter-in-law Nancy Child Reagan of Dedham; Dan Reagan and his wife Peggy Burchenal of Newton; Jean Martin and her husband Brian of Hudson, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rita was predeceased by her husband Vincent P. (“Vinny”) Reagan, her son Michael C. (“Mike”) Reagan, and her brother John A. (“Jack”) Delaney of Harwich. In addition to raising 5 children, Rita was a clerk for the Cambridge School Department, and later, a volunteer at Mount Auburn Hospital. Rita was a loving mother, very involved with and proud of her family. She had a sharp mind and was a good communicator, always in touch with her children and friends. Rita impressed on her children the value of and commitment to family, perhaps her greatest gift to us all. Rita moved to the New Horizons at Choate (Woburn) assisted living community in 2019, and she and family were thankful for the residents and staff there who treated her like family. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Peter Church, 100 Concord Ave, Cambridge, on Thursday, December 8th, 2022, at 10AM. A wake/reception will be held at the church before the mass at 9:30 AM. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or The Salvation Army. Burial will be private.
