Patricia Ann (Gill) Henebury of Belmont Jan 6, 2024. Daughter of the late John J. and Claire (Finn) Gill. Beloved wife of Joseph D. Henebury for 53 years. Loving mother of Ellen Trevisone husband Richard, Kristin Daley husband Richard, Siobhan Henebury husband John McGilvray. Grandchildren Nicholas and Timothy Trevisone, Ronan, James and Daniel Daley, Great Grandchild Lyla Daley. Sister Margaret Ann Fisher. Late brothers John J Gill II, and Richard Bump. Many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patricia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was a 1962 graduate of Belmont High School and then went on to receive a degree in Elementary Education at Curry College/Perry Normal School. She taught First and Second grade at St. Agnes School in Arlington MA for many years before she had her children. She was an avid baker running her own cake making business out of the home while her children were young. She was a wonderful knitter and sewer making many clothes and sweaters for her family including her own wedding dress. She then spent many years working at Ben Franklin in Belmont where customers and co-workers would come to her for advice on sewing, knitting and other crafts. After Ben Franklin she worked at Ivory Tower Publishing and eventually retired from Mailboxes Etc. During her retirement she found joy in taking care of her grandchildren and volunteering for Belmont S.P.O.R.T. running their crafts program. She was a lifelong resident of Belmont and raised her family in her childhood home. Due to Joseph’s work taking him to many parts of the world Patricia ran the house and oversaw all the projects and repairs on the family home including helping a friend renovate the kitchen. She was a mother to three girls, however an adopted mom to many of their friends. There were countless times her daughters would come home and find their friends spending time with Patricia either baking, sewing or just having a cup of coffee. There were also countless times her daughters’ friends would call the house for them but end up chatting with Patricia instead. Patricia was always there to help others in need or suffering a loss. She would always show up with a home cooked meal and a sympathetic ear. Patricia touched so many lives and will be missed by not only her family but also countless friends.
