Patricia M. (Kennedy) Boyle

Boyle, Patricia M. (Kennedy) of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2025 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Leo J., Mother of Maureen and Daniel Sutton of Sandwich, Charles and Deborah Boyle of Wilmington, Gerald and Jeanne Boyle of Mashpee, Richard and Janet Boyle of Kodak, TN, Janet and Gerald Kelly of Marshfield and Jonathan and Marie Boyle of Waltham. Sister of the late George and Francis Kennedy and Jean Paine. 

She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Born in Somerville, she was a resident of Cambridge for over 90 years.  She began as a bookkeeper for The Arts Society, raised six children and enjoyed volunteering with her friends on the Cambridge City Council campaigns of the late Lenny and Sheila Russell.  She enjoyed cooking and entertaining during many summers in Marshfield and winters on Anna Maria Island, FL.  She also loved singing and dancing to live music with her dearfriends. Patricia’s family is grateful for the wonderful care provided to her in her home over the last year by Celtic Angels and Care Dimensions Hospice. 

Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Rd, Belmont, on Wednesday morning, July 23, at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Peter’s Church, 100 Concord Ave, Cambridge, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Interment will follow in Cambridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice at 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA, 01923 or at caredimensions.org/donate.
