Maryanne Quirk, of Belmont, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Broderick) Quirk. She is survived by her brother Tom Quirk and his wife Karen, her nieces Kristin (Quirk) Barrett, Casey (Quirk) Eaton, Kara (Quirk) Casten and nephew Sean Quirk and her dear cat, Heidi. She graduated from Mount Trinity Academy in 1955 and Framingham State Teachers College in 1959 and earned her Masters of Education from Boston University in 1963. Her lifelong vocation was teaching, spending her first year as a Lay Apostolate teacher in El Paso, TX and the rest of her career teaching the second and third grade at the Charlotte A. Dunning Elementary School in Framingham, MA. She enjoyed spending summers in Hull, MA, traveling throughout New England and internationally with family and friends, exploring her Irish heritage with relatives in Ireland and staying active in the Catholic Church community. A visitation will be held in St. Joseph Church, 128 Common Street, Belmont on Tuesday, February 27 from 10:30-11:00 AM. Followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. The Burial will be private.
