Mary Zessoules Obituary

Mary (Ayres) Zessoules of Wakefield, formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. Beloved wife of Nicholas Zessoules. Loving mother of Pamela Bator (spouse Thomas), Sarah Kunde (spouse Brian), Judith Anderson (spouse Barry), Thomas Blue (spouse Rhonda), Nicholas Zessoules, and Rieneke Mester (spouse John).  Grandmother of  Alice Krenitski (spouse Scott), Katherine Casaletto (spouse James), Henry Bator, Charlotte Kunde (spouse Devon), James Kunde, Cody Anderson (spouse Sarah), Melissa Anderson (Joshua Burness), Sean Anderson, Ruth Polelli (spouse Federico), William Blue, Nicholas Zessoules, Daniella Zessoules, Priya Mester, and Maya Mester.  Great-grandmother of Emma, Paige, Crew, Tatum, Pearson, Cole, Luca, Serafina, and Thiago.

Her family meant the world to Mary. She loved to laugh with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A brilliant mind, she was a fierce mahjong player and teacher. Mary travelled the world with her husband and best friend, Nicholas Zessoules. From Alaska to Thailand, from Machu Picchu to the mountains of Greece, and from the Grand Canyon to New Zealand, these two marveled at the cultures that they explored. They began life together on Kwajalein, a small atoll in the South Pacific where they lived and worked for several decades. Mary was surrounded by her family who love her without end.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity
