Martha (Chakiris) Afentakis of Belmont April 10, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Angelos Afentakis. Loving mother of Maria Curran and her husband John of Belmont. Dear sister of Harold Chakiris of Framingham. Cherished grandmother of Dr. Alana Curran and her fiancé Dr. Kevan Smith, Michael Curran, and Paul Curran. Also survived by her devoted niece Diane Qualters and her husband Jim of Pepperell and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Martha loved her family and her many life-long friends.  She was blessed with over thirty years of life-sustaining care from a gifted team of medical professionals. Martha’s strength, resilience, and humility in the face of adversity has touched us all deeply. Visiting hours at the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont on Thursday April 14 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown Street, Weston on Friday April 15 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment at Belmont Cemetery at Grove Street, Belmont.
