Mark Martinos Obituary

Mark Martin Martinos of Belmont Massachusetts passed away peacefully, but too soon, at the age of 58 on February 3rd, 2025, surrounded by those he loved most.

Mark was born on March 1st, 1966, to the late Martin and Irene Martinos. He grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts and graduated from Belmont High School in 1984.

Mark was a devoted husband to his wife Carol (Coutoumas) Martinos with whom he spent over 25 happy years. Mark and Carol shared many precious memories, milestones, and quality time together as soulmates. Mark was most proud of his two children, Miranda Silva (husband Glen) and Mark Martinos Jr., and was their biggest supporter. He was also blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, Isla and Elena Silva, that brought him immeasurable happiness and many loving moments.

Mark was also survived by his siblings, Lillian Martinos Nikolaidis (husband Paul), who he called every morning to start his day, and brother Dimitrios Martinos (wife Diane). He was a fun and courageous uncle to Alexander Nikolaidis (wife Alison) and Irini Nikolaidis, as well as many other nieces and nephews that went to him for advice, words of wisdom, and a good laugh.

Mark was a proud union member for over 25 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and enjoyed the daily comradery with his colleagues. He also volunteered countless hours to support the United States Marine Corps and veterans in honor of his father’s service, which included sending care packages oversees.

Mark was known for his bold personality and boundless sense of humor. He always believed that life was meant to be spent with the ones you love, and he was always the center of family gatherings.  His most famous motto was "Party on!" Mark will be deeply missed by those that love him.
