Our beloved Marguerite (“Margie”) Litsas, 84, of Arlington, MA, died peacefully on January 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving and devoted family after her brief, but courageous and inspirational battle with pancreatic cancer. Throughout her life, especially during her final chapter, Margie exemplified the best humanity has to offer with her extraordinary bravery, selfless compassion and a generous heart that knew no bounds. Born in Somerville, MA, Margie was the loving and loyal daughter of the late MaryEllen and John P. Driscoll and the dear sister of Irene Giggie and the late John P. Driscoll, Jr., Leo Driscoll, and Mary Murphy. For 49 glorious years, she was also the beloved wife of the late Stylianos Litsas, and the most remarkable and loving mother of her three doting daughters, Helen Litsas Bronner and her husband Eric, Georgia (Litsas)Dangel and her husband Brian and Joanna (Litsas) Harris and her husband Mark. Margie was also “a dedicated” “Nana” who cherished every minute as the proud grandmother of Tristan Bronner, Lucas Dangel, Ella Harris, and William Harris – all of whom she loved “to the moon and back.” With family and extended family at the center of her heart, Margie also cherished her role as the devoted aunt to many adoring nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, who she showered with her love, pride and affection. Margie also took great pride in her service to others, especially her work at Santa Maria’s Hospital and Symmes Hospital. Margie will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered for her resilient spirit, enduring kindness, indomitable strength, and her love of faith and family.
