Miss Magdalen Wu passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025. She was a long time resident
of Watertown, more recently Dedham. Cherished daughter of Tong Yong and Kia Chiang Wu.
Beloved sibling of Irene, Corinne, Wesley and Lester. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Magdalen was born in Hong Kong, and emigrated to the US as a young woman. She worked for
many years for UPS. She was a person of genuine faith, who maintained a lifelong relationship
with God. She was an accomplished musician, extrensively trained in the piano and organ. She
served as church organist in various churches in the Greater Boston area. She was a longtime
enthusiastic member of the Watertown Womens Club. She had a passion for cooking, and her
annual Chinese New Year feasts were a highlight on the family calendar. Above all, she loved
her family, and in turn was the beloved Aunt Maggie to her 13 nieces and nephews. Friends and
family are invited to a viewing on Friday February 14 at 10 am at Payson Park Church, 365
Belmont St, Belmont, MA, to be immediately followed by a memorial service at the same venue.
A reception and interment will follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations
be made to the Payson Park Church.
