Luke Joseph Currier was born on February 1, 2007. He passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2025, at the age of 18. Luke was the beloved son of Jeff Currier and Maureen (Calleva) Currier, and the cherished brother of Matthew Currier.
Luke was the adored grandson of Richard Currier and the late Susan Currier, and the late Sal and Joanne Calleva. He was the loving nephew of Richard Currier, Jr., and his wife Jessica, Brian Currier and his wife Jenna Brown, and Christine (Calleva) Campbell and her husband John. He was a proud uncle to Oakland James Spencer, and a devoted cousin to Sadie and Charlie Currier-Brown, Hadley and Susannah Currier, and Mia Campbell. Luke will also be missed by his many close friends, extended family, and his loyal dogs , Gizmo and Rocco.
Luke was unfailingly sweet and loving, never forgetting a hug hello or saying goodbye without an “I love you.” He had a kind and generous heart, and his warmth drew people in wherever he went. Whether he was fishing, playing football, or hanging out at the river with his brother and friends, Luke had a gift for making people feel included and he gave his love freely, every single day.
Though Luke’s time with us was far too short, his warmth filled every space he entered. He was, and always will be, deeply loved.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Luke’s life at the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont, MA, on Saturday, November 15. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Luke’s memory to The Home for Little Wanderers, 72 E. Dedham Street, Boston, MA 02118, www.thehome.org.
