Kin Mo Hum

Kin Mo Hum, 91, of Belmont, passed away on June 25, 2023. Beloved husband of May Hum. Loving father of Edward and his wife Samantha, Albert, and the late Anita and her husband Lawrence. He is also survived by grandchildren, Justin, Trevor, and Kayla. He also leaves sister, Joyce, and several nieces and nephews: Marilyn, Bob, Evelyn, Linda, Linna, Lyling, Peter, and many on the west coast.

Kin had a lifelong career in the restaurant industry, from his early days in Ontario, Canada, to the Boston MetroWest area, and then southern Maine. He was full of energy and always greeted customers with a smile, making friends along the way. He retired in 1989 and traded the hustle and bustle of working the restaurant floor to devoting his retirement years to family.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 6th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brown & Hickey Funeral Home in Belmont, 36 Trapelo Road. A funeral service will take place at Brown & Hickey on Friday, July 7th, at 10:00 am with the procession leaving at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain, 95 Forest Hills Ave.
