Obituary

Joseph E. Bachmann of Belmont Sept 12, 2021. Beloved husband of Randi (Nelson) Bachmann. Loving father of Julianne DiThomas and her husband Joseph of Haverhill, J. David Bachmann of New Bedford, John E. Bachmann and his wife Joyce of Beverly, Jeffery P. Bachmann and his wife Jane of Salem and Matthew J. Bachmann of Arlington. Also survived by his 8 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and his sister Caroline Curley of Melbourne, FL. Predeceased by his sister Mary Favaloro and his grandson Kevin Vaccaro. Joseph was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He was a little league manager for 10 years, a past commander of the Quincy Bay Power Squadron and a licensed captain with the U. S. Coast Guard. He had a lifelong career in the printing industry, starting as a pressman and finishing as a salesman.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Joseph Church 128 Common Street Belmont on Thursday Sept. 16th at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 309 Waverley Oaks Road Waltham MA 02452. Late U.S. Navy Veteran, Korea. Face masks must be worn for all indoor services.
