Joan F. Grainger a lifelong resident of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at D’Youville Senior Care with her family by her side on October 13th, 2025. Beloved wife of the late John J. Grainger Jr. She is survived by her son Thomas Grainger & his wife Laura of Dennisport, MA & daughter Doris Padellaro of Merrimack, NH. Cherished grandmother of Nicole Spano & her husband Timothy, John Padellaro & his wife Tara, & Thomas Grainger Jr. Great grandmother of Liam Spano, Gabriella Spano, Jayden Surette, Jackie Padellaro, Malcolm Padellaro & Theodore Padellaro. Sister of Robert Savina & his wife Joan of Londonderry, NH & the late Doris Savina.
Joan was one of the kindest funniest ladies. Above all else she loved her family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed deeply but her laughter, kindness, and love will always be remembered.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for visiting hours in St. Peter Church 100 Concord Ave, Cambridge, on Friday morning, October 17th, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan, may be made to the American Cancer Society American Cancer Society P.O.
