Harold Richard Larson

Harold R. Larson, 83, of Arlington, MA, died on January 2, 2025. He was born in Somerville, MA and attended Arlington High School 1956 - 1959, graduated from Tufts University in 1963 with a Bachelors of Science and from MIT in 1967 with a Doctor of Science Sc.D. Harold went on to work in Metallurgy for several corporations in NJ, TX and MA and worked for MIT for several decades. He was married to Jane McEvoy Larson for 60 years and has three daughters: Susan Pratt (John Alan), Ellen Collins (Kevin), Jennifer Rienstra (Albert Henry), seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His parents were Harold G. Larson and Martha A. Larson of Arlington, MA and siblings: Kenneth Larson (Ann), Linda Larson, Barbara Donnelly (Larry), Karen Cronburg (Terry) and Janet Hooper (David). A service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Belmont on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold’s memory to All Saints Episcopal Church at 17 Clark Street, Belmont, MA 02478
