Edward "Ted" Pendergast

Edward "Ted" Pendergast of Dennis MA, formerly of Belmont, passed away June 26, 2026, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Patricia A (Fiske) Pendergast. Loving father of Teddy Pendergast, Peter Pendergast and the late Elizabeth "Betsy" Pendergast. Cherished grandfather ("Umpa") to Corrie Matthiessen and her husband Scott, and Connor Bolick and his wife Katie. Proud great-grandfather of Betty Lynne and Tripp Mathiessen. Ted is survived by his beautiful sister Joyce Maney, his brother-in-law Francis Fiske, and many nieces and nephews. Ted was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He was a graduate of Fordham University. His working career includes Bethlehem Steel, Honeywell Technologies, and Raytheon Technologies.  For the last 20 years he worked for the Town of Dennis Golf Dept as a starter at the Highland Golf Course and an unofficial ambassador of goodwill. Ted always went out of his way to put a smile on the faces of all he interacted with. He cared for his friends, neighbors and co-workers deeply and always held their happiness and well-being close to his heart and in his prayers. Visiting hours will be held in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont on Wednesday, July 8th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St Joseph Church 130 Common Street, Belmont on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
