Doris M. Savina

Doris M. Savina of Cambridge passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 12th, 2023 at the Neville Center in Cambridge. She was born on May 16, 1930 to John and Margaret (Flynn) Savina. She worked at Liberty Mutual in Boston for over 40 years and retired in 1993. She is survived by her sister, Joan (Savina) Grainger, her brother Robert Savina, and his wife Joan. Also survived by her nephews and niece, Thomas Grainger, Doris (Grainger) Padellaro, John, Christopher, and Dennis Savina. Doris lived with her sister and family for over 50 years.  Her sister was her best friend. She was like a second mother to her niece and nephew and like a grandmother and great-grandmother to her great niece and great nephews and their families. Above all else, Doris loved her family, whether a normal day or a milestone event. Her presence will be dearly missed. 

A visiting hour will be held in St. Peter Church 100 Concord Ave., Cambridge, on Wednesday morning January 17th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
