Sawicki, Dominic, Age 98, of Belmont, formerly of Brighton, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2024. Beloved husband of 72 Years to Rita Conti. Devoted father to Nancy Murphy & her husband Al, Donna Correia & her husband Victor, Dominic Sawicki Jr. & his wife Debra, and Marianne Webber & her husband Wayne. Dominic’s legacy lives on through his 9 grandchildren Jennifer, Brian & Chris Murphy, Melissa & Laura Correia, Michael Sawicki, Kristen Manjikian and Derek & Jeffrey Webber. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren, Michael, Brian Jr, Olivia, Ciara, Declan, Gianna, Sophia, Isabelle and Charlotte. Brother of the late Walter Sawicki and Nellie Carey. Uncle to Michael, Linda, Dianne and Denise. Dominic was a loyal friend to all, a true gentleman, gracious, fun, loving humble and grateful. Once you took his hand to shake, you were his friend forever. He loved his family, his Lithuanian heritage, his polka music and his country. He will never be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in St. Joseph Church 130 Common St., Belmont, on Wednesday morning, July 10th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown. Late U.S Marine Corps Veteran. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dominic’s honor to Tunnels To Towers Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, or The VNA Hospice Care in Danvers, MA. The Sawicki family would especially like to thank Roison Keenan, RN for her support and her dedicated caregivers Caroline and Cissy.
