Claire E (LeMay) Gardiner

Claire E. (LeMay) Gardiner of Belmont passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2023. She spent her final day peacefully with her sons by her side.

Claire was the daughter of her departed parents, Joseph and Jennie Mondello Lemay. Sister of departed brother Joseph Lemay, sister of Mary Lemay Pepe of Daytona Beach, Florida and Jean Lemay Davison of Whitinsville, Massachusetts

Claire was the beloved wife of the late  John "Jack" Gardiner, happily married for 52 years. Claire is survived by her devoted, loving children, Edward of Belmont, Paul of Arlington and Rich and his wife Beth of Cotuit and their four sons, her adoring grandsons, John, Christian, Shane and Ryan. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Claire was a loving, devoted, faithful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend to many.

Claire was a lifelong resident of Belmont. She relished growing up, raising her children and maintaining lifetime friends in the town. Family was always her first and foremost priority. She was a fabulous cook and homemaker and made sure her children and grandchildren had fabulous home cooked meals. Holidays were glorious moments and she made every holiday special and memorable for all, especially Christmas. Claire loved to spend time with all her family, but a big part of her heart was devoted to her grandsons; she could never get enough time with them. She looked forward to trips to Rockport and Lake Placid.

    At the family's request the funeral services are going to be private.
