Christopher McMackin Obituary

Chris “C” McMackin is a loving brother, son, nephew, great nephew and cousin. Chris brought joy to everyone he met and never missed an opportunity to crack a ridiculous joke.

Chris attended Belmont High and graduated in 2004. His close friends are his friends from Belmont. Chris attended Virginia Tech and is a proud Hokie.

Chris graduated from Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. He was commissioned in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and held the rank of Captain. He received his pilot wings at FT Rucker Alabama. He became pilot in command of the OH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and served in combat in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division . He was awarded the US Army Achivement Medal and Twice the Army Commendayion medal for his service .
