Carol (Meslis) Zayotti, 86, of Belmont passed away on February 27, 2025. Carol was born on December 27, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Lillian and Edmund Meslis. After graduating from Wellesley High School, Carol attended Syracuse University where she made lifelong friendships. She worked as a Research Assistant at the Harvard Institute of International Development and MIT. Carol loved to read, listen to classical music and opera, and was an artist her whole life. She was an avid painter and also enjoyed sculpture, jewelry design and digital art. Carol was an active member of her book club for over 25 years. Dear sister of Charlene Moorefield of Sarasota, Florida and her late husband Tex, and her late brother Eddie Meslis and his wife Bethe and their daughter Lillian. Beloved mother of Matthew Zayotti and his wife Kim of Norwell. Proud grandmother of Harrison and Vivien Zayotti. She is survived by her nieces Gaby Moorefield, Dawn Kerivan and her husband David, Kel Moorefield, Victoria Moorefield, and predeceased by nieces Sinclair Moorefield, Tracy Moorefield and Gabrielle DeGrasse. As per Carol’s wishes no service will be held.
