It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Barry Michael Goggins, of Belmont, Massachusetts, on the evening of May 26, 2026. Born on July 21st ,1955 in Santa Monica, California to Tom and Florence Goggins. He leaves behind a loving family and many dear friends. His devoted life-long partner Maura Kelley of Belmont his stepdaughter Meaghann and husband Joseph Toomey and 2 grandchildren Clara and Juliet of Sandwich, MA. Predeceased by his stepson Michael Conor Kelley of Belmont. His beloved sister, Sheri and husband Robert San Miguel of Post Sall, Idaho and multiple loving nieces, nephews and cousins, who brought great joy and happiness to his life.
Special gratitude to his devoted caregiver, Claudia Andrade who extended immeasurable kindness and care through his courageous battle with Brain Cancer. A lifelong practicing Catholic his faith and devotion to the Church sustained him throughout his life and was integral in his end of life.
A proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Boston College School of Management, Barry built lifelong friendships and meaningful connections that remained important throughout his life. He was a longtime season ticket holder and thoroughly enjoyed attending games with family and friends. His friends from ND and BC remember him not only for his intelligence and accomplishments, but for his warmth, humor, generosity, and unwavering friendship. Barry also loved his Cape Cod getaway where he Maura and Kieran would often weekends.
Barry was a remarkable man, generous, kind-hearted, deeply loyal, and loved by so many. He lived his life with quiet strength, integrity, and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Barry faced illness with extraordinary courage and grace. Through every challenge, he demonstrated remarkable bravery, resilience, and dignity, inspiring those around him with his strength of spirit. Barry will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, his gentle presence, and his ability to make people feel seen, valued, and cared for. He leaves behind not only memories, but a legacy of love, friendship, and quiet goodness that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. Though deeply missed, Barry’s spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont, Thursday, June 4th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ignatius Of Loyola Church, Chestnut Hill, Friday, June 5th, at 10:00 AM.
