Ann M. "Nancy" Connelly

Ann M. “Nancy” Connelly, 98, passed away on September 16, 2023, at her home in Belmont. Married for nearly 50 years to the late Thomas J. Connelly, Sr., she cherished her roles as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nancy is survived by her children, RADM Thomas J. Connelly, Jr. (Darlene), Mary Connelly, Rev. Fr. Peter Connelly, OSB, Joan Conway (Robert), and Bernardine Clark (Mark), as well as by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Abbot Xavier Connelly, OSB, her daughter, Teresa Fitts, and her grandson, Thomas J. Connelly III.

Visiting hours in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Rd., Belmont, MA on Thursday, September 21 from 4 – 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 130 Common St., Belmont, MA on Friday, September 22 at 10 am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to St. Benedict Abbey, 252 Still River Rd., Harvard, MA 01451 (www.abbey.org).
