Andrew R. Pizzi (Andy) of Alexandria, Virginia and Belmont passed away on January 27, 2024. Andy was the beloved son of the late Antimo and Assunta (Ferrante) Pizzi. Loving brother of Elizabeth Pizzi of Belmont and Susan Pergamo and her husband Jim of Belmont. He was the proud and cherished uncle of Michael and David Pergamo.
Andy left Belmont in 1983 and took a job with the United States Government. His passion for his work as a mediator and facilitator took him to 49 of the 50 states (Alaska) training and coaching many government agency employees. Andy’s retirement from the US Government did not slow him down but gave him the opportunity to realize a life long dream of starting his own company I&I Resolutions. Andy provided mentoring in mediation/conflict resolution to the students at George Mason University to “keep him young.” He volunteered as a judge and mediator for local, regional, and national student ADR competitors, and he was the proud President of the Virginia Mediation Network Board of Directors.
When not working, Andy loved to read, listen to music, and watch all Boston sports teams compete, always making sure to tell you that the 2004 World Series win would always be the best.
