Lois Whelan

Lois ( Guenther) Whelan of Cambridge, April 28,2018.  Predeceased by her parents Edward and Dorothy Guenther and sister Joan (Guenther) Weston.
Leaves behind beloved children Joseph Whelan and his wife Angela, Thomas Whelan and his wife Karen and Theresa (Whelan) Henry. Her grandchildren Thomas Whelan, Tara Whelan, Meghan Whelan, Keith Whelan, Amy (Whelan)Gregoire, Shannon Henry and Erin Henry as well as 9 great grand children  (Leanna, Conner, Thomas, Xavier, Luci, Josie, Declan, Charlotte and Susie) with one more on the way. Additionally she will be mourned by many cousins, friends and coworkers from her work at the Pentagon, Sancta Maria Hospital, and Dr Busick. Lois was a devoted catholic, she loved football and any time spent with her family. 

Gram loved her sister very dearly, and though they lived miles apart, they had a bond like no other and they shared and celebrated each other over a life time. She married and had 3 children who loved her very much. Gram lived and raised her 3 children in this world, who then went on to build their own families giving her 7 grandchildren. She watched them all grow into amazing people and helped them welcome 9 great grandchildren into her life, with hopes of more on the way. Her family will continue to grow, as she watches over us all. Lois had a life full of memories that some people could only dream of, these are the memories we will hold in our hearts and cherish,  just as she cherished us. 

Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Rd. Belmont Friday at 9AM. Funeral mass in St. Peter's Church 100 Concord Ave. Cambridge at 10AM.  Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Cambridge Cemetery.
