John H. Crepeau

John Howard Crepeau Of Belmont, with his children at his side, peacefully passed away Wednesday morning, November 15th at the age of 94. Born on November 12, 1923 to Lloyd and Fay Crapo in New Haven, Connecticut. John had 2 brothers, Lloyd and Allen Crapo. All 3 brothers proudly served their country in WWII. He was husband to Barbara Crepeau (King) of Belmont. He is survived by his 3 children, Brian, Diane and David and 3 grandchildren, Eric, Colin and Melanie Crepeau. A graduate of Northeastern University led John to his 40 plus year career which he loved in the Aerospace industry. He spent these years working for Charles Stark Draper Laboratories an affiliate of MIT. Beyond his career and family, John enjoyed sailing, golf, travel, and played ice hockey well into his 60's. He enjoyed many a mile walking through Rock Meadow in Belmont with his beloved canine Heidi. He also had a passion for extending the mechanical life of anything and saving parts from everything else beyond resurrection. If the topic of passing ever came up, John would interject, "I'm not going unless I can take my basement with me" as this is where John spent much time fixing the unfixable. A celebration of John's life will be held at the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT, MA, Sunday, November 19th at 12:00 noon.
