GRACE, Jean (O’Brien) of Savannah, Georgia, in her 84th year, passed peacefully in hospice on July 30th, 2017. She was the devoted wife of Leo F. Grace, formerly of Belmont MA. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage two days prior to her death. Jean was the proud mother of Patricia Blanch and husband Dan of Wilmington, Leo F. Grace, Jr. and wife Nicole of Danvers, Elizabeth Patrone of Belmont, Thomas Grace of Watertown, Jean Grace Jr. of Belmont, and Mary Fraser and her husband Mark of Medfield; Cherished and beloved Grammy to Katherine Blanch, Grace Patrone, Maren Fraser and Maggie Fraser. Jean is survived by her brothers, Thomas O’Brien of Amherst and Harry O’Brien of New Jersey; Daughter of the late Harry and Marie O’Brien of Medford; Proud graduate of Tufts University; Loving school teacher, mother, homemaker, Burbank School brownie leader, St. Joseph’s CCD instructor, exuberant volunteer and clever songstress. Jean was a vibrant woman who put her family above all else and will be deeply missed by many. Memorial mass (instead of wake or burial ceremony) Saturday, August 19th at St. Luke's Church, 132 Lexington St., Belmont, MA 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend with reception to follow in parish hall.
