Obituary

ANDREW CORBIN HANSEN

Of Boynton Beach, Florida, age 55, died April 3 at Trustbridge Hospice, Delray Beach, Florida
Andrew was born and grew up in West Newton, Massachusetts. He graduated from Concord Academy in 1980 and Clark University in 1985. During and immediately following his school years Andrew traveled extensively reaching all the world continents except the arctic ones. After marriage to Catherine Lipinsky of Worcester, Massachusetts the couple moved to Charleston, South Carolina.

Andrew's working career centered around his interest in and skill in writing. Primarily employed as a technical writer for a number of computer related companies he also wrote for various periodicals and websites. His work took him from Charleston, to Atlanta to Greer, South Caroline and finally to Florida.

At once witty and living life on his own terms he attracted a wide circle of friends. And many of these friends came to him through his popular life-style blog which produced over 1.5 million lifetime hits. Upon hearing of his death through Twitter over 750 responded thanking him for his courage and help in improving their lives.
In keeping with living life on his own terms, when he learned of his close and certain death from liver cancer he organized a "Going Away Party" for himself; many friends from far and near attended.

He leaves a brother Ted, of Brewster, Massachusetts, father Ted of Cambridge, Massachusetts and beloved friend, Tracey Goldenberg, of Boynton Beach, Florida.

A private burial is planned

Donations in Andrew's memory should be directed to the Trustbridge Hospice, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407
